In a move many conservatives call a nice gesture, President Joe Biden was photographed wearing a “Trump 2024” at a Shanksville, Pennsylvania, firehouse that he visited to commemorate the 23rd anniversary of 9/11 on Wednesday.
The photo, which has gone viral on social media, shows Biden smiling as he is wearing the pro-Trump hat.
Biden had visited the firehouse with pizza and beer after attending a wreath-laying ceremony at the United Airlines Flight 93 memorial, where passengers thwarted al Qaeda terrorists from reaching their target, as reported by the New York Post. The plane had crashed in rural Pennsylvania as a result of the passengers’ heroic actions.
The surprising moment occurred when an elderly man had asked the president to put on his Trump hat, to which Biden agreed. After placing it on his head, the room, which was full of Trump supporters, erupted in cheers.
“I’m proud of you now, you old fart,” the elderly man told Biden.
Leading up to that moment, Biden had an exchange with the elderly man whom he had asked if he wanted an autograph. In return, the man asked the president if he remembered his own name.
“I don’t remember my name, I’m slow,” Biden responded sarcastically, which got a laugh out of the crowd.
As the friendly conversation continued, the elderly man called Biden an “old fart,” to which the president replied, “Yeah, I’m an old guy… You would know a lot about that.”
After signing the hat, Biden jokingly told him that he needed his Trump hat. After receiving the hat, Biden placed it on top of the hat he was wearing.
The two shook hands as the man told the president that he was proud of him, but Biden made sure that he got the last laugh in.
“Just remember now, don’t eat any dogs or cats,” Biden told him, referencing what Trump had said at Tuesday’s debate about Haitian immigrants killing and eating the pets of residents in Springfield, Ohio.

While Biden received positive feedback, others shared their surprise by the moment, including some liberals who questioned the authenticity of the photo.
